RGB Workflow

Take your scientific images to a whole new level of vibrancy and quality; take advantage of color most printers toss away

Online journal content can support a wider range of colors than traditional CMYK printing. In this day and age, publishers should be getting the best of both worlds.

The process starts by allowing authors to submit RGB images for journal articles, which makes life easier for them since almost all images captured on any scientific device or camera will be in RGB color. Using color management techniques honed over our years of experience, we utilize the full gamut of RGB images throughout the composition process and only convert the images to CMYK for proofing and final print files. What goes online, and in the author's eProof, is color that exactly matches what the author captured and submitted. Meanwhile, our consistent, repeatable, and color-managed conversion processes will ensure the best possible CMYK conversion so that the printed product is of the highest quality possible.
